So You Constantly Fall Off Your Diet Plan?

For the vast majority of people, figuring out how to lose weight is like rocket science. The truth is it needn't be. We live in an age where people crave instant results to the point where they actually get nowhere at all.

We all want instant results and sometimes we get lost in marketing hype or over complicated miracle procedures rather than noticing the foundations first.

No matter how many people try to tell you otherwise, fat loss is not difficult. It's marketing 101. It is far easier to sell a new product to someone if you make them feel like they need it, they cannot succeed without it. This is why the world of diet is often needlessly over complicated.

We don't learn about a car engine before we've taken our driving lessons, right? It's the same here. You do not want to dive into the finer details of nutrition before you have discovered the foundations.

Most people neglect the top rule of fat loss, which is using a calorie deficit. So what do we mean? Simply eating less than you do now, that's all. See, it's not as complicated as some make out...

That's common sense, however, and the part where people mainly go wrong is figuring out how many carbohydrates, fats and protein to consume each day. This is where they feel things are too complicated for them to follow so instead they look for pre-made, ready-to-follow diet scripts instead of looking after themselves. Most of those diets cut out carbs and fats completely, leading to yo-yo dieting.

A proven split such as the 4-4-2 system, which comprises of 40% carbohydrates, 40% protein and 20% fats, is a great system to use.

It is also shown that when you snack you could do a lot worse than choosing protein as your macro nutrient of choice. The next time you feel peckish at work try to attack a food high in protein content rather than the quick carb, bad fats associated with junk food.

Most people fall off their diet because they feel they have to cut out their own favorite junk foods. This is baloney. Take a day off each week and enjoy yourself. You cannot undo consistent healthy eating with one day, unless you go particularly crazy, so feel free to enjoy your favorite food. This will help you to stick to your diet in the bigger picture.

While the rules in today's video and article are no doubt simpler than those you see in this months' celebrity magazine, they do actually work and are proven. Furthermore they are free. Stop struggling with learning how to lose weight and start getting results. The next step is establishing how to build muscle, which we will post soon enough.
