To say that those with type 2 diabetes have to be careful about the food that they eat would be nothing short of an understatement. There are many diets that can be taken up and it is clear that some of them will be better than others. In my view, those which boast some of the healthiest foods imaginable - olive oil being one example - are the ones to focus on the most. This is where discussion of the Mediterranean diet should be brought to the forefront.

A recent Fox News article spoke about the way in which the Mediterranean diet can help those with type 2 diabetes slow the progression of this particular condition. While many people believe that reducing fat can help such individuals, it's been argued that including foods with healthy fats is the way to go.
