Personal challenges are common in life. People struggle with various things. It is okay to struggle; just make sure you get the support that you need. It is very important to do this so you see what type of energy is in the place which will show you what their attitude and approach is. You may want to pick a place that is healthy in its attitude and not arrogant or aggressive.

Habit forming behaviors can take several weeks to hone. It takes practice and repetition to get good at this form of martial arts. Be firm with yourself but understanding as you grow. Get feedback on what you need to improve on. It is always good to improve in life. Staying the same is not good especially of you have weaknesses. Everyone has weaknesses so staying open to change is imperative to mental health and progress in a my endeavor especially martial arts.

The rates for learning martial arts can be expensive. Budget it in if you can or you will have to wait until you can afford it. Ask how much they charge as early on as possible. They may give you a deal like the first month is free as long as you sign up for a year. They may throw a free uniform into the deal. Uniforms are not cheap do that is a good deal.

It may take you years to get to the belt that you want. It usually takes several demonstrations in your skills to advance to the next level. You will have to meet with your instructor and show what you can do. If you are not ready, be honest with them. It is okay to be patient as you advance and not rush things. Enjoy the process and take it slow.
