It is getting more and more difficult to buy new hospital equipment due to cost implications. Hospital managers are increasingly looking for other options when it comes to the purchase of expensive hospital equipment. Budgeting gets harder, with every department in the hospital having monetary needs for everything to run smoothly. One way hospitals are using to free up extra resources is through the purchase of old equipment or renting. In the equipment industry today, a used C arm for sale is a more attractive prospect than a brand new one.

The biggest advantage of renting or buying used equipment is the cost. Rentals are definite cheaper than buying new, and the extra money freed up can be redirected towards other sectors of the hospital to improve the service delivery. Rentals require little down payment and in the short term, are a cheaper option when compared to the purchase of new equipment.
