For many years there are have been books upon books and many different publications published about how many benefits there are to juicing. So, really, the topic is not really revolutionary. But the fact that people are still interested in it and talking about it should tell you something. And think about the fact that juices have existed for thousands of years. Do not, however, try to simply drink juices instead of eating whole foods. There are differences between the two with both having their unique appeals and possible advantages. Juicing should be done if it serves your purposes, but it's not needed if you like eating whole foods.

Perhaps the greatest dietary irony is that you are supposed to get a (really high) number of servings of fruits and veggies every day. There probably are not a lot of people who can actually accomplish that, however, because the number is so high. And this is another one of the appeals of juicing because you can come much closer to that ideal number. Don't forget, either, that it can cost quite a lot of money to actually eat all of those fruits and vegetables each day.

There are quite a lot of reasons for food to cost more now than it used to years ago. And you'll want to use organic foods to avoid pesticides. In the end, eating truly healthy is incredibly expensive, so it is important to do what you can, take your vitamins and, after that, not worry about it so much.

We've discovered so much about nutrition over the last two decades or so. And researchers will not stop finding out valuable information about the foods we eat. Micronutrients and phytonutrients are in pretty much every veggie or fruit. These are different than regular minerals and vitamins. When you prepare juices from these foods, you'll be saving the nutritional value of the foods. You should also understand which enzymes are actually found in veggies and fruits. And if you can consume them whole, they will do you a lot more good. When compared to cooking, juicing is best because the high heat of cooking keeps the enzymes in veggies (and fruits on the rare occasions they are cooked) from performing properly after they've been eaten.

For decades people have had problems with the pesticides that are sprayed over our foods. Don't trust anybody who tells you that eating them is safe. Here are just a few of the things that you actually need to be careful about consuming because they are well known for chemical contaminants. It doesn't matter if you want to juice them, make sure that they are completely and truly washed.

You need to wash all veggies, but celery, carrots, cucumbers, etc are truly important. These vegetables all grow within a certain pattern, and you need to notice that. Also, many people say that fruits and vegetables grown in South America have more pesticide residue on them than those foods from other countries.

If you juice you will have a much higher level of flexibility and efficiency in regards to the nutrients you need from fruits and vegetables. You can also engineer your juice to target different and specific needs. Some people like to give themselves an energy boost by juicing. When we talk about flexibility this is what we are talking about.
