Lights are not to make people see what they are doing in the sea or whatever the place that they went fishing too. Light is meant to serve attraction purposes to the fish. This is a concept that has been in use for a very long time. It is therefore shocking to find that some people ignore the use of illumination while out.

How many sources of lights should be used? There are no strict rules on this. The main thing is that the people that have gone out fishing should get a bounty harvest. It has been demonstrated that using two light sources will give you optimal results. This serves to create a wide radius of light. In effect, more fish are attracted to the spot where the light is coming from.

Before settling for a light source, there are some facts that you need to understand. Knowing and implementing these facts will give you the greatest experience in term of the number of fish that will be attracted to the scene. Firstly, optimal intensity is required. This requires you to learn about the lower and the upper threshold that should be observed. You have to make sure that you maintain the intensity within the limits that are considered to be ideal.

There are two types of lights that are considered to be top for this purpose. The first one is blue. This color is known to be attracted to the bait fish. The second color that you need to use is the green color. The green color too is very attractive to the fish. Make sure that the color that you use is either of the two. If this is not adhered to, the results will not be as good as they should be.

Traditional fishermen were never as successful as the modern fishermen. One of the explanations to this is the source of power that is used to power the sources of light. The traditional fishermen relied on means that cannot simply provide a steady light. This is the reason why they could not attract as much fish as the fishermen who power their light used electricity.

Is the power source portable? If your answer to this question is no, then that source is not ideal. Experienced fishermen will tell you that finding the best spot can be a hassle. Most of the time, the best spot is located a distance from the shoreline. If the source that you intend to use is not portable, it means that it is not going to reach the finest spot.

Energy is expensive. The environmentalists have always reminded people of this fact. Fishing lights should also be made from sources that consume minimal amount of energy. This is aimed at maximizing profit for those that are involved in this occupation for money.
