Your Guide to Injectable Fillers

Injectable fillers have gained popularity as they are a minimally invasive treatment. As these products gain popularity and acceptance, my patients are increasingly aware of the options. You can keep looking youthful, without a major surgery, with this quick, relatively painless treatment every 6-12 months.

Laugh lines

Soft tissue fillers are most often used to treat laugh or smile lines. Most laugh lines soften considerably with one to two syringes of filler, but if you decide to treat the marionette lines or if your lines are particularly deep, more may be needed.

The same patient may use fillers for both fine and deep wrinkles, because there are a number of them available. Physicians often layer them in the same areas in order to plump folds and fill the lines that often lie in the depths of those folds. They can be given in minutes with a tiny needle to give definition to the lips and fill other wrinkles such as laugh lines. The instant results are a natural enhancement, are gentle and safe to the skin, and last 6-9 months. You can get back to normal activities in a few hours.

Lips

The last place women want to lose volume is in their lips. For many people a fuller and more sensuous mouth comes high on their wish list. From our late twenties our lips start to become thinner with fine lines eventually starting to appear around the mouth. By injecting a small amount of natural hyaluronic filler you can restore your lips back to their former glory. Whether it's to add lost volume or just to redefine the lip contours you will be impressed by the instant results with lip filler procedures. It is your decision how subtle or obvious your new lips will be.

Cheeks

Nothing shows your age as much as volume loss in your cheeks. One inexpensive way of creating a youthful look, without resorting to invasive surgery, is Cheek Augmentation using dermal fillers.

Over time older skin may begin to lose its elasticity and plumpness. This causes the area around the cheek and jaw to sag which eventually leads to a loss of shape and definition in the face. An overall ageing effect to our appearance comes when cheekbones that were once round and prominent now appear somewhat sallow and flat. Cheek augmentation creates a much more balanced face shape by helping to re-define the shape of your face, filling and lifting the cheek areas as well as tightening the surrounding skin. The appearance of overly hollow cheeks and temples can also be improved by augmentation that adds volume to the area, giving a softer shape to an overly angular face.
