I just joined the gym for the 1st time in years. Previously I have been doing Pilates from the comfort of my home. I however over indulged during the vacations and added 2 Kgs which I need to shed together with the five Kgs I was supposed to loose last year.
Gymnasium is now not an option but requirement. I have worked out since I was in college and I need to admit the most difficult thing is the facility to maintain consistency in one's work out regime. Folks have a tendency to get bored or burn out. So how can you create a work out regime that may work for you over the long run? Here are a few tips that I've learned from my own personal experience, others ' experiences and fitness trainers.
Don't get over excited
Much of the time folk give up on their work out regime because they started with too much psych and suffered burn out too soon . Take it in tiny steps. If it's jogging commence with a kilometer or 2 and add a kilometer every week or every few days after that. This way you give your body time to adjust accordingly without burning out.
Quality NOT Quantity
Understand your body and do not target the other people in the gymnasium. Instead focus upon you. How high can you kick without tearing a muscle? It may not be high as others but what is the impact? Don't beat yourself up if you're the sole one who can't do fifty sit-ups in a row. Focus on how many you can do at a time and the impact they have on you. With time each exercise will become better to execute.
Have a reason
Much of the time people work out sorely to loose wait and as fast as they start seeing the results they loose the inducement to put in as much effort as they did when they first began.
If you'd like to loose weight, create a preliminary plan that will most likely be more aggressive and when you achieve your ideal weight, create a new plan which will help you sustain your ideal weight. A long term plan should be moderate and that is why most physical fitness experts advice that at least 3 days of exercise for a period of thirty min to an hour in each session, is ok. If you have got the energy, drive and time to work out five to six days a week, that's fine too .
Take time off
It is important for you to take time off your work out regime to give your body a chance to recover. Or you will suffer significant burn out and most likely injure yourself during the process. The Monday, Wed. and Fri. work out regimens works great for most people.
Don't Push Too Hard
In a gymnasium most instructors like to bump us to our limits and infrequently it's good especially for people that lack incentive. Nonetheless you have to be careful because an instructor doesn't know and understand your body like you do. Should you ever feel awkward or in excruciating pain in particularly your back ( backbone ) or neck, don't push it. Stop and work out if you're doing the exercise properly because doing it wrong will lead to injury. Visit a doctor who can determine if you have any injuries that may be worsened by some exercises.
I have a lumbar region problem so when in the gym I refuse to engage in some of the exercises, which I know for a fact would cause more damage to my backbone. I'd however not know which exercises are not good for my back had I not seen a physician.
Understand Your Body
Last although not least, understand your body. Are you big boned? Do you come from a family of naturally thin or apparently fat people? How snappy do you loose weight? What's your blood type and dietary habit? I am 4ft eleven" and I have my mummies body. We are short and corpulent and so are my aunts and grandmother. That is just genetics. Regardless of how hard I work out I haven't ever been smaller compared to a size 8.
I also have small light bones and always look heavier than my precise weight. It might thus not seem sensible for me to attempt to look slender like a 5ft nine" model. I'm well-developed and stunning and I have come to love it. I now focus on accomplishing healthy weight and toned muscle.
